Antonio de la Torre is one of the most acclaimed and versatile actors in contemporary Spanish cinema. Born in Málaga, Spain, in 1968, he began his career as a journalist before transitioning to acting in the early 1990s. Since then, he has worked with some of Spain’s most celebrated directors, including Pedro Almodóvar, Álex de la Iglesia, Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, and Rodrigo Sorogoyen.

De la Torre holds the record for the most Goya Award nominations in history, with over a dozen to his name. He won Best Supporting Actor in 2006 for DarkBlueAlmostBlack (Azuloscurocasinegro) and Best Leading Actor in 2019 for The Realm (El reino), a political thriller that earned him widespread critical acclaim.
